"You all go and find another conductor pls." ((strodes out of rm)) tears spring to my eyes.
i can feel shueli's tears coming right up. i can feel miss sia's pain n sadness. or maybe it was mine. syarah walks out of the rm briskly. i feel even worse. shueli walks out too. i can sense their disappointment n pain. syarah comes back red-eyed and tearing. shueli comes back, obviously alr crying, mumbling sth abt miss sia not coming back to renette. my heart sinks deeper and the stinging tears prepare to fall. mrs tham pops her head in and asks if that's the whole band. she comes in and gives us a talk. both enlightening, comforting and painful to me. was pretty affected and the tears simply fell. i knw how much pressure the 2 leaders are going thru. but i just dont udstd why we cant play wht miss sia wants. even if she said it a split second ago and we play it right first time round, we'd revert back to the old way agn.
"Miss sia has done so much for the band. they have very good contacts, im sure you knw tt. 2 or 3 yrs ago whn they were discussing with the principal, miss choo told them 'whatever you can teach, my girls can learn' and mr ong and miss sia were full of hope and were very enthusiastic. they are teaching at a very VERY low fee and nvr charges us extra. theyre doing these out of pure goodwill." tears fall quick.
"ive worked with the cedar girls' choir tcher before and she told me how beautiful it was whn the girls do exactly wht she wants. it's a very exhilarating feeling when you play the song right and the tchers just want to perfect you. miss sia has put in so much effort and she must be so sad." tears fall more.
"i assure you that miss sia has not abandoned us. she will come the nxt band prac but pls do not disappoint her agn." tears fall agn.
snsb, we've gotta do this. seriously. do u udstd tt we've only got 3 weeks left ? three WEEKS mind you, not three mnths.. during syf, we'll only hv one chance. screw it the first time and ure over. of course it isnt a cause for u to panic n rly screw up on tt day but weve gotta perfect ourselves now. we knw the notes, now it's polishing time. tone, pitch, accuracy and neat and clean articulation. gawd. come'on snsb, we can do this. like wyf said, let's make history this time round. those who mightnt play for syf, dont give up. bruch up on ur playing and you'll be just fine. pls DONT resent miss sia. she has rly put in a lot for us. SO MUCH u can even put it to words. fine, so she may be harsh n not tt tactful with her words but she means it with a gd heart. she might seem mean but lk beyond the surface and try to udstd wht she's trying to put across. resenting her will only make your life difficult yeaa ? and there's no reason u shld anw, she's seriously nice. i'll miss her if she goes.. -sighs.
